Denimsandjeans Welcomes Yilmak @ Egypt

Since 1968, Yilmak aims to produce machines with the intent of developing the garment industry. At the very beginning, their target was to produce machines that Yılteks Group exclusively needed, but later on with the experience and know-how they gained, they have not only become the best, but also the largest manufacturer of laundry machines not only in Turkey but the rest of the world as well. Denimsandjeans is welcoming them at the first edition of Egypt on Feb 2-3, 2025 in Cairo. We recently had a word with Furkan Civelek , Sales Director at Yimak about their views on Egypt and their latest innovations.

It’s very good to have you with us in the first Denimsandjeans show in Egypt! What are your expectations from the Egyptian market?

We are excited to participate in the first Denimsandjeans show in Egypt. The Egyptian market is not only a historic center for textile production but also a growing hub for denim manufacturing. We expect to establish stronger relationships with local producers, showcasing YILMAK’s advanced sustainable technologies that align with Egypt’s increasing focus on eco-friendly manufacturing. We believe this market has great potential for sustainable growth, and we aim to support manufacturers by providing solutions that reduce costs and environmental impact, while maintaining top-quality production.

You already have some of the key factories in Egypt using your machines and technology. Why do you think that Egypt deserves more of your sustainability-driven technology?

Egyptian textile manufacturers have embraced our sustainable technologies, but there is still much more potential for expansion. We believe Egypt deserves more of our solutions, as they help the industry achieve higher efficiency and lower resource consumption. For example, our iconic RAINFOREST machine has set a benchmark in sustainable washing, and its latest version, the RAINFOREST GEN2, uses a polymer drum that provides even greater water and energy savings. Additionally, our XDRUM, developed in collaboration with the UK-based XEROS, enables stone-free wash effects, eliminating pumice usage altogether. These innovations empower Egyptian manufacturers to become leaders in sustainable production, meeting global standards while minimizing environmental impact.

We have been talking about various sustainability-driven legislations in the EU and US. How do your machines help producers comply with them?

YILMAK’s machines are designed to meet the strictest international sustainability requirements. For example, the RAINFOREST GEN2 and the HNS ECOFRIENDLY GEN2 dryers are built to drastically reduce energy and water consumption, aiding compliance with EU and US regulations. Our HNS ECOFRIENDLY GEN2 dryers feature automatic filter cleaning and shorter drying cycles, addressing energy efficiency directly, while our high-capacity ozone washing systems offer a chemical-free alternative that aligns perfectly with global sustainability goals. These innovations help producers meet legal requirements while improving product quality and reducing operational costs.

What are the key directions that you see YILMAK moving towards in the near future, and what are your growth plans? Any new technologies that you are working on?

YILMAK’s future is focused on developing and introducing more sustainable, efficient, and innovative solutions to the textile industry. Our new technologies aim to push the boundaries of eco-friendly production. We are committed to promoting our RAINFOREST GEN2, XDRUM, and HNS ECOFRIENDLY GEN2 machines globally, alongside our ozone washing systems, which are integral to sustainable washing. Our growth plans also involve deeper partnerships in strategic markets, continuous innovation, and broader adoption of our sustainable technologies, ensuring we maintain our leading position in the industry.
