The 3rd edition of Denimsandjeans India concluded with a thundering response this time with the highest buyers’ turnout in its all 3 seasons. With over 40 exhibiting companies from over 7 countries, the show brought all the leading retailers, brands, buying houses and factories from India as well as overseas at one platform during the two days of the event. This year, the show focused on the growth prospects of Indian Denim Industry and through the theme- Resurgent India , Denimsandjeans tried to bring the global attention on the untapped potential of the local market which is expected to be worth $59.3 billion in 2022, making it the sixth-largest in the world, comparable to the United Kingdom’s ($65 billion) and Germany’s ($63.1 billion), according to data from McKinsey’s FashionScope.
This edition witnessed a footfall of over 2150 buyers from over 575 companies from India and overseas. Apart from Bangalore, buyers from Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Telangana, New Delhi, and Ahemdabad also visited the show along with the overseas buyers from Spain, Hong Kong, London, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. All the major retailers and brands including H&M, Marks & Spencer, VF Corporation( India, HK, and Bangladesh) ,Kontoor Brands , Landmark Group , Future Group , Future Retails , El Corte , Li Fung , GAP Inc , Fifth Avenue, Bhartiya Fashion, Tesco , Pepe Jeans , Poeticgem UK , Spykar , Benetton , Celio Sourcing, Shopper Stop , Reliance Trends , Myntra/Jabong , Flipkart, ITC Limited , Amazon, VOI Jeans, Saint Blue ,Levis, C&A ,PVH, Being Human, Blackberry, Aditya Birla Fashions , FFI, Ajio, Westside, Asmara India , Asmara Bangladesh , Bestseller , Inmark Retail, Impulse, , Mufti, Arvind Brands, Raymonds Apparels, Synergies Sourcing , Newtimes, etc visited the show. Some of the most reputed factories and exporters including Shahi, Garden City Fashion, Trigger Apparels, Prateek Apparels, Classic Polo Fashion, VD Fashions, Shivassa Apparels, Aquarelle Clothing, and Hasbro Clothing also checked out collections with their teams.
Many tier I and tier II brands along with big fabric dealers/traders and distributors have also visited the show on both the days. Amid ongoing several trade shows related to garments and yarns on the same dates, the visitation of serious buyers at this quantum, made this show one of the most favorite b2b denim soucing shows of India within a short period of 3 years. Mr. Sharad Jaipuria – President of Denim Mills Association (also Chairman of Ginni International) was the chief guest at the show and with his opening speech and traditional opening ceremony, the show kicked off.
TREND AREA
The 3rd edition of Denimsandjeans India also brought TREND AREA – where latest innovations in the denim industry were displayed from all exhibitors. The exhibitors have showcased their AW19/20 collection in 5 categories at the trend area and they were: including Scientific Methodology, Super Flexies, My Earth, Our Primes and Value Fashion.
SELVEDGE DENIM WALL
Denimsandjeans, Arvind, Raymonds, and Korra Jeans came together to provide special privilege to visitors of the show at Bangalore. The visitors of the show were offered special Selvedge jeans made from Raymonds and Arvind selvedge fabrics customized to visitor sizes by experts at KORRA jeans at a super special price on both the days. Indigo Festival
Fascinating workshops held during the two-day Denimsandjeans India, in accordance with its theme of this year ‘Resurgent India’. An Indigo Festival with the most ancient arts of indigo dyeing from was organized, where artisans and craftsmen representing families who had been working with these arts for centuries shared their knowledge. A total of four traditional indigo arts—Ajrak printing, shibori dyeing, ancient tie and dye, and Dabu printing—had been showcased during the third edition of the show on both days i.e. on July 17-18, 2019.
Designers’ Corner
This edition witnessed the presence of several designers also at the show from different parts of India including Bipin Nahak, Bluhemia, 9.oz Denim, and Locomotive. They presented their design skills at the show and the same was highly appreciated.
In order to bring more awareness to the reduction of carbon footprints and to promote a sustainable way of transport, denimsandjeans collaborated with Yulu Bikes.
